WHEN/WHERE DID YOU START CANOEING/ KAYAKING?:
I began paddling at the age of 16 with the Trinidad Surfski Club , Trinidad
REASON FOR TAKING UP THE SPORT:
I first started paddling beach kayaks when I was 11 with 6th Trinidad Sea Scouts. Kayaking is one of their regular activities and that was where I first became involved with the sport. It was just recreational and occasional at first. My mother, my coach and once I got started, my competitive instinct are the main reasons/inspirations for training and competing internationally. I always try to be the best at what I do. Also, I want to show people out there that Trinidad and Tobago is a place full of talent. I want to help the sport of canoeing grow to be bigger and better, not only in Trinidad and Tobago, but all over the world. To do this, we need more participants on an international level.

MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN CAREER:
My coach John Handyside has been a big influence in helping my development and exposure in my relatively short career thus far
TRAINING PARTNER(S):
Matthew Robinson, Nicholas Robinson
HERO/IDOL:
Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the sportsmen I admire. His confidence in his ability is second to none and he simply lives his life how he wants to without caring how others perceives him
SUPERSTITIONS/ RITUALS/ BELIEFS:
Before events, I do everything but think about the race, until I get on the water. I share a few jokes and listen to music to just relax so that when I get on the water I'm calm, collected and composed to let my training take over.
