My brother did it and he got to travel the world. I tried it and found something I was good at. I loved being on the water, training with my friends and the challenge.

TRAINING REGIME:  
We train early to miss the Australian heat on the Gold Coast canals, well known for it's population of bull sharks. That's why we learn to stay in our boats and paddle fast.

Paddle, gym, bike, stairs, surf ski, surfing...I avoid running when possible. All of these activities are in the mix.

MEMORABLE SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT:  
Winning K2 500 at National Titles in 2010 with Naomi Flood. It was our first K2 race together and we won against the odds. I remember my brother Ken, yelling at us and we came from behind for the win. It was all very exciting winning an Olympic distance and it got us both onto the Australian Team (Floods first AUS kayak team).
