WHEN/WHERE DID YOU START CANOEING/ KAYAKING?: | I first sat in a boat in December of 2012. I've practised sport since I was 4 years old, and two years after my accident a friend of mine invited me to try canoeing. I freaking love it, I love the freedom, the water, the wind in my face. I felt in love with the sport. | |
MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN CAREER: | My family, they have been here since day one encouraging me and also putting up with me and my lifestyle. Love them. | |
HERO/IDOL: | I admire all the athletes in my country that with no support what so ever, they keep training to be the best version of themselves. | |
SUPERSTITIONS/ RITUALS/ BELIEFS: | I tried to feel comfortable in the water previous to the race. | |
SPORTING PHILOSOPHY/ MOTTO: | Don't think about what can happen in a month. Just focus on the 24 hours in front of you and do what you can to get closer to where you want to be. | |
FAVOURITE PADDLING COURSE: | I like to paddle in Bolívar because it's where all started. And because it will always be my home. | |
