The four-time world bronze medallist will compete in the K2 500 at Paris 2024. He did go to Rio 2016 as a reserve but did not compete. Spicar’s story is even more inspiring as he was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, a chronic arthritis that typically occurs in the lower back, and still competes at the elite level.
