WHEN/WHERE DID YOU START CANOEING/ KAYAKING?: | Started kayaking at my local lake in 2012 with my first international competition being in 2014 in Salt, Spain.
REASON FOR TAKING UP THE SPORT: | A love of the community around freestyle and the big international family that it has now become.
SPORTING PHILOSOPHY/ MOTTO: | “There's always a new way to paddle a river.” This was taught to me by a very close friend, even on a river that you've paddled a thousand times, there is always a trick, move, eddy you haven't tried making. You just need to look at the rapids with a new frame of mind.
AMBITIONS : | To help develop freestyle into a modern era of cane and kayak sports. To try and help not only run big competitions but make them as paddle focused as I can. To make sure that it is the best athletes being recognised as well as our newest athletes getting the most out of the event as they can.
