BIOGRAPHY: | Paris 2024 will be Fisher’s second Olympic outing and the Rotorua-born paddler couldn't be in better form. She will be heading to France after breaking the world’s best time in the K1 500 at a World Cup in Szeged, where she clocked 1min 46.19sec, which was 0.33sec ahead of second-placed 15-time world champion and compatriot Lisa Carrington. | |

MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN CAREER: | My Dad. He took me to training every time... when I would get out of bed in the morning that is! Kayaking has always been our thing. He would film me at paddling and then put in slow-mo next to Adam van Koerverden so I could copy his technique. | |
HERO/IDOL: | Lisa Carrington, coming up through juniors and a kiwi dominate the sport was so inspiring. It made me think "if she can do it, so can I." | |
SUPERSTITIONS/ RITUALS/ BELIEFS: | I like to write 'BIG FISH' on my knuckles and draw a fish on my hand. It always puts a smile on my dial when I line up to race. | |
