OTHER SPORTS: | I enjoyed playing numerous types of sports with my children. I have also coached my son in American Football and my daughter in basketball. As a child/teenager before my accident, I played American Football and baseball. I also enjoy lifting weights and yoga as well.
PLACE OF RESIDENCE: | Forest, Virginia, USA
AWARDS AND HONORS: | My proudest achievements are personal. I have a beautiful wife and 3 kids. I graduated with my MBA in 2008 and have been a small business owner for over 10 years.
MEMORABLE SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT: | I have two achievements that I feel real proud of on the world stage. At the 2016 World Championships in Duisburg, I won the semi-final with a time was the best at that point of the competition. That time nowadays does not hold up but I was proud at the time. My most memorable achievement happened at the 2019 World Championships in Szeged. Although I didn't win the preliminary event, I paddled a 50.05 seconds which has given me the added confidence to continue to push forward.
OTHER INFORMATION: | Above knee amputee, I was struck by a truck in 1999. |
