Impairment Details
In 2008, she had her right leg partially amputated as a result of bone cancer. She had experienced no symptoms until she broke her leg at gymnastics practice. (mississauga.com, 01 Jul 2016; newswire.ca, 05 Mar 2010)

Awards
She was a Paralympic torch bearer ahead of the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver. (newswire.ca, 05 Mar 2010)

  The VL3 world silver medallist from 2023 will try her luck in the same event at Paris 2024. A torchbearer ahead of Vancouver 2010 Winter Paralympic Games, Scarff studied kinesiology at Brock University, St. Catharines and started paddling in 2013 and switched from kayaking to the Va’a boat in 2021 after a suggestion from her coach.
