| BIOGRAPHY: | A national champion in artistic swimming in Iran, Soltani switched to paddling as she was not able to compete internationally. Swimming for women is frowned upon in her home country. But her love for sport continued. She was not able to return home in 2022 after posting pictures on Instagram from an invitational event in Barcelona that was not well received in Tehran. At Paris 2024, she reached the quarter-finals of the K1 500. |
